I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember and count myself extremely lucky to be able to do something I love as my profession.
My approach to wedding photography is to produce a set of stunning images that tells the story of your day, moments captured discreetly and unobtrusively as they happen - naturally and candidly. The combination of reportage and directed photography creates a balanced blend of images, and I'm often told 'we hardly knew you were there!'. I tend only to direct events for a select number of Bride and Groom photographs, and if any group photos are required I always do my best to make them fun and enjoyable for everyone.
Each wedding is unique and deserves a bespoke service. I believe that it's very important for us to meet up before your wedding to discuss what you want, and what the arrangements are, so that you can relax knowing that your photography is taken care of. I usually work with a second photographer, and between us we work together to create an unforgettable, honest and exiting story of your wedding day.
When I photograph families and children, my approach is simply to reflect the personality of the sitter in the final images. I understand that to create fantastic images I need relaxed, happy subjects and follow the principles of 'be patient, be quick and get everyone involved!'. There's no set structure to my family portrait shoots, children are too wonderfully unpredictable, and photographing them at home or on location brings the best out in them. I'm also a Dad of two of the most photographed children in the world, they love it! (Yeah right....)
I have been CRB checked.
